on the one hand they have angry jws that can't understand the wt societies laxity, and if the wt does df the worldy people see the wt as demented old self righteous christians.. i found this site that talks about famous jws and makes this observation better than i can:.

I came across this "gem" in the March 15, 1969 Watchtower pages 171-172. "Many schools now have student counselors who encourage one to pursue higher education after high school, to pursue a career with a future in this system of things. Do not be influenced by them.Do not let them "brainwash" you with the Devil's propaganda to get ahead, to make something of yourself in this world. This world has very little time left! Any "future" this world offers is no future! ...Make pioneer service, the full-time ministry, with the possibility of Bethel or missionary service your goal"...Then par. 19 states"Jehovah's organization as directed by his "faithful and discreet slave" class should influence your every decision also". That was written 39 YEARS AGO! Here we are in the year 2008 and they are still preaching the same garbage!

It was interesting that Shawn mentioned the fact that he was banned from JWD and was questioning Simon about it. Shawn did not state why he was banned and I'm sure Simon had his reasons for doing so.

We thank all the people who came on the program with us. Some may be asking about the third hour of our call on August 16. There was a lot of interference and background noise. My computer control panel was jammed and could not properly use the mute and unmute keys. I am not sure why this was happening, perhaps it was due to so many people calling in at once, or maybe deliberate sabotage on the part of the Watchtower. For those wondering what took place in the third hour, we are trying to clean it up with special software, and hopefully post it as part two of conference call August 16.
